Abato is what he his known by; as his act name…. He started his music career at the age of 15 when he began to listen to other artistes and covering their songs, Apart from growing up on the street with the likes of Dre San, small Doctor, Famous and likes he was motivated to write his own lyrics which he cited and quote often in freestyles and music battles, this gave him upper hand on the street and also provoke his stage name “Abato” which was coined from his popular Intro “About to” as per “About to drop or About to blow”. He began his career professionally in hip-hop and R n B music lately, just as he met J’Emperor Beat who produced most of his songs.
Abato whose original names therefore are Ajibola Basit Jimoh is also a student of Electrical Electronics in
Yabatech and has received wide acknowledgment for his work from some of the most well-known and respected individuals in the music industry and also among Radio presenters across lagos, Abeokuta and Nigeria in diaspora. He received a massive fan base wen he launch his smash singles “Tonight” and “Bebe Ske” on Naijaloaded.com and Vibes2lyrics.com, the songs was also Aired live on “The Trend City Show” Los Angeles, California starting from September, 2015.
Some of his songs include club bangers such as “Bebe ske”, “Tonight” featuring Emperor, “Rock d Party” ft Pure bois, “Oropoto” ft Xflamer ; good music like “Jeko gbon” featuring HD alongside notable RnB single like “Exceptional” which gave him a say among the Ladies.
He worked with Emperor beat, HD, Xflamer, Pure bois and some other wonderful upcoming, According to one of the interview he featured, he hope to to work with great producers and artists such as mastercraft, wande coal, skales, iyanya, oritse femi & rapper M.I abaga.
