Reports reaching us has confirmed that singer, Toby Grey, is no longer with her management company.
Just a year after Tobi and her management company, ScoopNiaja, started working together, it has been revealed that they have indeed parted ways.
Trouble first surfaced its head when the design for the singer’s newest song came out and the logo of ScoopNaija was missing on it.
According to Kolawole Omoboriowo, the CEO of the management company:
Her mum has not been helping matters at all. Fine she’s the one funding her daughter’s career but when I raised the issue that our logo was missing in the new artwork she called me to ask what really is the role of a management company.
Sources have it that Mrs Adeyemi Adeola, Toby’s mother has been the one bankrolling all her project since she broke out way back in 2014.
When contacted to talk about the split between her daughter and her management she said:
What did you hear? I’m sorry I don’t want to talk about it.
The management company, ScoopNaija has released an official statement about the split saying:
This is to announce that ScoopNaija the former management of upcoming singer Toby Grey is no [longer] in business with the upcoming singer. We regret to announce this but certain measures had to be taken in the light of new developments that have since made the work[ing] relationship between both parties uncomfortable. Thanks for your continued support. We wish her all the best in her current and future endeavours.
When queried about the next step for the Company, the reply was:

I’m not saying much, since that’s the way they want to do it, let them just pay me all the money they owe me, which is about N620,000. This is excluding the N25,ooo I spent every night during her last tour of 8 clubs in Lagos.
Toby Grey, as at the time of filing this report is yet to comment on the issue.
