U.S based Nigeria singer Jemiriye Adeniji made history recently when she became the first Nigeria and indeed African to perform the evergreen “Take Me Out to The Ballgame” anthem of the Philadelphia baseball team, The Phillies. In an event which marked the 42 anniversary of the late baseball great, Jackie Robinson, Jemiriye, a former Nigerian Idol finalist sang to a stadium full of audience who had come to watch the unforgettable match between the Philadelphia Phillies versus Miami Marlin.
