A lecturer from the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Dr Boniface Anyanwu, was, at about 2a.m on Saturday, kidnapped from his Obiaruku home, with the abductors demanding N20m in ransom.

Anyanwu, who was later crammed in the booth of his Toyota Camry and driven away to an unknown destination, reportedly escaped from the kidnappers’ den yesterday.
